Brief Description of Activity:
Students will go to a website, in which they will watch a video on historical way of life. The students will have a question and discussion period coving topics like moving, difference in way of life (food, transportation, employment, etc.). The website the teacher will access (http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/ssvs/movieLauncher.html?movie=smil/nfb_homesteading.smil) requires a username and password. This will be a group activity.
General Learner Outcome:

Rationale for Computer Integration:
Computers have been integrated into this assignment to allow students to visualize the historical aspect of a family lifestyle. Hopefully this will allow students to compare the differences between what they have viewed and their own family lifestyle.

Great project Melanie! I really like how your incorporated the video into the presentation. I also liked that this can easily be a way to integrate multiculturalism into the classroom! Good job.
